Official Photos from ‘Outlander’ Episode 106, “The Garrison Commander”

Below are the official photos released for the sixth episode of Outlander, “The Garrison Commander.”  This is an episode that is heavy with Captain Jack Randall (Tobias Menzies), so it is no surprise that he is heavily featured in these photos.  At least a couple of these photos have been previously released, but there is no harm in sharing them again.

Those that can be seen in these photos are Caitriona Balfe (Claire Beauchamp), Tobias Menzies (Frank Randall, Jack Randall), Sam Heughan (Jamie Fraser), and Graham McTavish (Dougal MacKenzie).  I do not know who the officers are in the photo with them around a table, nor do I know the actors’ names.  I will update this post when I do.

Update (9/8/14):  Eight more official photos from the episode have been added to the post.  Corporal Hawkins played by Edmund Digby-Jones is the one in the photo with Jack Randall shaving.  The photo with a new face alone is Brigadier General Lord Thomas played by John Heffernan.  Lieutenant Jeremy Foster played by Tom Brittney is not a new face, but he is in the new photos.

All the acting was is great but have to say that Caitriona’s has impressed me the most. I actually thought she was British from watching the series. When I watched the panel discussion in San Diego she sounded American. Looked at her bio finally and was surprised she was from Ireland and spent most of her career as a model. She has really nailed the British accent and the part of Claire.

The photo of Tobias with the shaving razor looks like he is going to slit the dude’s neck in it.

Love it,they are all doing such a brilliant jobs as actors, the end of episode 5 was a bit different from the book, but as Ronald D.said they have to twist&turn, waiting for episode 6 & the rest!

Do you think the second to last picture, with claire kneeling by a stream and Dougal looming overhead, is when he tells her she has to marry Jamie?

    • Sherry Riley

I think that is where Dougal is “testing” Claire at St. Ninian’s Spring (Liar’s Spring). He asks her a lot of questions after she drinks the water and it seems that she passes the test. He now believes that Claire is not a spy. Finally! It’s near the end of Chapter 13 in OUTLANDER.
