I’m just scrolling Facebook and a video from Starz pops up. I thought it was about Blood of My Blood, but then I noticed when it posted and new scenes … It’s a new teaser trailer for the eighth and final season of Outlander! We got our first real glimpse at the final season when a teaser dropped at San Diego Comic-Con, but now we have even more!
I do not think the timing is a coincidence. We learned the last two weeks on Blood of My Blood that Claire (Caitriona Balfe) has a brother. Could that be his voice at the end of this teaser? Or is it someone else?
I love the inclusion of bees a couple of times in this trailer. We also get to see the new Fraser house being built and nearing completion. If you pause the trailer and go through it scene by scene, you will also notice the back of Marsali (Lauren Lyle) hugging Jamie (Sam Heughan), as well as Lord John Grey (David Berry) in peril. From the last teaser, we already know that Roger (Richard Rankin) and Brianna (Sophie Skelton) make it back to the correct past timeline, but in this teaser, we see that Roger is now a pastor (notice the costume and the Bible).
We are still being given a general part of the year for season eight’s release: Early 2026.
