The last time Outlander made any official appearance at San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) was in 2017 before season three aired. The first episode of season three screened for the audience at the end of that panel.
Outlander has been frustratingly absent from SDCC since then, but on the heels of the premiere of the prequel, Blood of My Blood, why not return for a last hurrah for the OG Outlander.
Outlander will be in Hall H for the 10 AM slot on Friday, July 25, 2025. The slot is for an hour, so nope, attendees are not going to see the first episode of season eight. My guess is that you might see a trailer or a scene from season eight…maybe even a release date. Those in attendance for the panel include Sam Heughan, Sophie Skelton, newlywed Richard Rankin, Matthew B. Roberts, and Maril Davis. There will also be an autograph session at 1 PM. I am surprised Ronald D. Moore and Diana Gabaldon will not be at the panel.
While I am not in attendance at SDCC this year, it is unfortunate that the Outlander panel will be held first thing in Hall H. Fans trying to see Outlander will have to compete with every other fan trying to see another panel later in the day. The only guaranteed way to attend the Outlander panel will be to line up the day before (today) and get a wristband for Hall H. I don’t envy you guys trying to attend this year. I really wish they had returned to Ballroom 20 instead — it is way easier to get into the ballroom than Hall H.
