Watch the First ‘Outlander’ Fan Discussion Panel at SDCC 2017

It has been almost two weeks since I was on my very first San Diego Comic-Con panel.  The panel was called Outlandish Confabulation: An Outlander Fan Panel” and on the panel was Ginger Wiseman and Summer Reynolds of The Outlander Podcast, Mandy Tidwell of the Great Scot Blog, and myself.  We had 50 minutes to discuss a little bit of everything.  The premiere episode of Outlander season three was shown the day before, so that was definitely on the top of our list, but we also discussed the books and fan theories.  I absolutely loved the audience participation of the panel because we were in a small enough room with some avid Outlander fans.  It ended up being way more interactive than any of us thought.

If you would rather not be spoiled on the premiere of season three or have not read past Dragonfly in Amber in the book series, you may want to watch the video with some caution or just skip it all together.

There are some issues with the end of the video, but all of the audio is there.  If you wish to just listen to the audio of the panel, head over to The Outlander Podcast and listen to the episode with the panel included.

We hope to do this panel again next year at SDCC.  It was a lot of fun.  Huge thank you to Marifel Trias for filming the panel and to the illustrious Ginger for putting this panel together (and including me)!

Huge kudos on getting a fan panel at SDCC, and thank you for the video attempt, but there was only one mic connected to the video’s audio, and the only sound for the remaining 3 panelists was what was in the room/effectively muted with reverb. My kindle Fire is inadequate to overcome this and the closed captioning wasn’t helpful, so I gave up after about 10 minutes. From what I could make out, this panel was great. Thanks again for all you do for the fandom.

      Yes, technology sucks sometimes.

    Really enjoyed.

I did as well – mostly I enjoyed getting to see and hear our very own Sarah K! 😀

(As I haven’t yet watched the ep they spent most of their time discussing) 🙁

Thanks so much for following along all these years! We tried to not be super spoilery about the episode, but all but one person in the room had seen the episode. 🙂

    Pedantry sirens are GO!

Mandy said she tried to translate the [gaylic] but i am 93% sure that the local dialect is pronounced [gallic] and the Scots are pretty fierce about that.
