Stephen Walters and Annette Badland Join the Cast of ‘Outlander’

Stephen WaltersAnnette Badland

TV Guide got the exclusive on two new cast members of Outlander.

Stephen Walters will play Angus Mhor.

Walters will play Angus Mhor, whose role in the books was much smaller, but will be expanded for the series. Another member of Clan Mackenzie, Angus is a hard drinker who’s always looking for a fight. Angus hates the Brits, so as far as he’s concerned, Claire can go back to where she came from — dead or alive. Rarely seen without a bottle in his hand, Angus is nonetheless an extremely skilled fighter, and a loyal clansman, making him an asset to both Colum and Dougal.

Annette Badland will play Mrs. Fitzgibbons.

Meanwhile, Badland will play Mrs. Fitzgibbons, a quick-witted woman who is the glue that holds Castle Leoch together. Not one to hold her tongue, Mrs. Fitzgibbons’ work is never done.

Stephen Walters has done some TV series recently including The Village, Great Night Out, and Good Cop.  He also has been in the films Batman Begins, Layer Cake, and Hannibal Rising.

Annette Badland was born in 1950 and has been acting for quite some time (veteran actor).  She acted in the same series as Sam Heughan, Doctors, but there episodes do not overlap.  She has also been in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2005), Oliver Twist (1999), Doctor Who, and the recent TV series 3some, The Sparticle Mystery, and Wizards vs. Aliens.

Welcome to these great actors and we look forward to seeing you on screen!

Thank you to Sharon Ham on FB for bringing this to our attention!

  • Dale

Annette is an excellent actor, would like to see her in Shakespeare.

  • Peaseblossom

I wish they’d bump her off in Eastenders, she’s a vile character.
